The annual Epic Mega Sale has just started on the Epic Games Store. Gamers can expect discounts of up to 75% on games and use an extra $10 off coupon for games over $14.99 for an unlimited time.

The sale itself is pretty straightforward. Just head over to the official Epic Games Store website or fire up the Epic Games client to check out all discounted games. You can download the client from the site as well, but need an account to sign in on your devices.

Not all games are discounted, but the majority are. Some by only 10% or 15%, others for up to 75%. You may generate a free coupon code on the Store website or in the client to get $10 off any purchase of $14.99 or more; this discount works in combination with discounted items, e.g. the game Cyberpunk 2077 is already discounted by 20% but you’d get another $10 off the price automatically once you have claimed the coupon.

Note that there is no limit when it comes to claiming the coupon. While you need to open the coupon generating page each time you want to use a new one, you may do so as often as you make purchases of games priced at $14.99 or more on the Store.

Downside is that there are not that many games available in the Epic Games Store, especially when you compare it to Steam.

In case you don’t know what to get, here are a few suggestions and their discounts (with the $10/€10 discount applied already)

  • Cyberpunk 2077 for €37.99 — Excellent action RPG game by the makers of The Witcher. Had a bit of a rough start due to bugs, but patches are coming out and free DLCs have been promised. Plus, the PC version works better than the console versions.
  • Death Stranding for €13.99 — It is one of those weirdly fascinating Kojima games that you either love or hate.
  • Hades for €6.79 — Grab this game, it is a lot of fun. It is a rogue lite game that plays in ancient Greece. Meet Zeus and other gods, fight your way through Hades, get stronger, and repeat the process.
  • Hitman Game of The Year for €4.99 — Includes all first season missions of Hitman plus a bonus campaign, bonus outfits and weapons. Play as an assassin in this challenging game.
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for €4.99 — Odyssey is a highly rated game that plays in ancient Greece as well. Follow the story, explore, fight and have lots of fun in this game.
  • World War Z GOTY for €12.57 — Fun coop action game that plays a bit like Left for Dead but without PVP.

The sale runs through June 17, 2021, a rather long time for a sale. Expect new games and the weekly selection of a free game to complement what is being offered.

Now You: any PC games that you can recommend right now?
